Director Consolidation & Audit

HIP offers a contract in its Finance & Corporate Development Department for graduates in Business Administration. HIP is looking for a person with deep interest in the hotel industry for Director Consolidation & Audit role for its offices in Barcelona.
 

Responsabilities:

• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies, internal controls, and defined GAAP
• Responsible for the production of the Group Consolidation at various levels within the organizational structure
• Responsible for the technical accounting entries for group level transactions, structuring and reporting
• Relationships with external auditors, as well as other advisors
• Monitor and improve internal control processes, ensuring consistency and validation of financial information
• Prepare reporting package on an annual basis to shareholders
• Coordinate external audits
• Monitors and control monthly debt balances, and interest expense for all the group companies
• Monitors and control intercompany balances and transactions
• Accounting advice to administrative department
• Periodic analysis of monthly closings reported by subsidiaries
• Supporting the Investment team in the financial due diligence process of new investments as well as price adjustments mechanisms
• Responsible for financial KYC procedure

The ideal candidate should have: 

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration
• Minimum of 7-8  years of experience in Big4
• Strong technical accounting and consolidation knowledge
• Strong knowledge of Spanish GAAP and IFRS Standards
• Experience on dealing with companies with huge amount of legal entities
• Advanced computer skills, especially MS Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to work well and communicate with various leads within the organization and to work closely as required with other functional areas such as tax, treasury and accounting department
• Problem resolution and analytical skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to act and operate independently
• High level of English, spoken and written
• Proven experience in SAP and SAP BPC
